  • Should I choose 1:1 training or a group class?

Group classes are great for friendly, sociable dogs, young puppies learning early socialisation, or general foundation skills in a structured setting.   • What age can my puppy start training?

    Puppies can start learning positive habits from day one at home. For home-based 1:1 puppy training, we can begin as soon as your puppy arrives. For group classes or outdoor training, puppies generally need to be fully vaccinated—please check with your vet for their specific clearance date.

  • What do I need to bring to a training session?

    Please bring a standard flat lead and collar or harness (no choke chains, prong collars, or extendable flexi-leads during sessions), plenty of small, high-value treats your dog loves, and their favourite toy. For dogs with dietary sensitivities, bring their everyday kibble or approved treats.

  • Can the whole family get involved in training?

    Yes, absolutely. Having everyone in the household on the same page creates consistency, which helps dogs learn much faster. Family members, including children (with supervision), are welcome to take part in the sessions.

  • Do you work with reactive or aggressive dogs?

    Yes. Beverley offers compassionate, science-based behaviour support tailored to nervous, reactive, or fearful dogs. We begin with a thorough assessment to understand what triggers your dog’s emotional response and create a safe, manageable plan to help them feel more confident and calm.

  • What qualifications and experience does Kimber Canine have?

    Beverley is an experienced dog trainer, canine nutritionist, certified pet first aid instructor, and a Royal Kennel Club Grade 7 agility handler with over 15 years of practical handling and training experience. Kimber Canine is also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for data protection.

  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

    We understand that plans can change. If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so the slot can be offered to another dog and owner team. Full terms and details are shared upon booking confirmation.
