Meet Beverley Kimber: Your Dog Training & Canine Care Specialist in Harwich

Beverley Kimber, Your Local Dog Training Specialist

I am a certified dog trainer, canine nutritionist and pet first aid instructor based in Harwich. I help dogs and their owners build stronger, happier relationships through positive training, practical support and a genuine understanding of each dog’s individual needs.

Whether you are looking for help with everyday training, behaviour concerns, agility, nutrition or dog first aid, my goal is to give you clear, compassionate guidance that makes a real difference in day-to-day life.

My approach to dog training

I believe that training should build trust, confidence and connection.

My work is centred on positive reinforcement and games-based methods, making learning enjoyable and rewarding for both dogs and their people. I focus on working with your dog — not against them — while supporting their emotional wellbeing, physical health and ability to cope with the world around them.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Every dog has their own personality, history, environment and needs, so I tailor my support to help you make practical, achievable progress together.

“Positive reinforcement builds trust and confidence between the dog and trainer.”

Professional support for dogs and their owners

Kimber Canine brings together a range of services to support your dog’s training, behaviour, health and wellbeing, including:

  • One-to-one dog training
  • Behaviour support
  • Dog agility for individuals and groups
  • Canine nutrition consultations
  • Dog first aid courses
  • Guidance on canine body language
  • Support for reactivity
  • Support for separation-related concerns

My aim is to help you better understand your dog, feel more confident in supporting them and enjoy life together more fully.

Kind, ethical and practical guidance

Behaviour challenges can be stressful, frustrating and sometimes isolating. You do not have to manage them alone.

I provide calm, ethical and compassionate support for owners navigating more complex concerns. By looking at the wider picture — including your dog’s communication, environment, health, routines and emotional needs — we can create a realistic plan that supports meaningful change.

Qualifications, safety and reassurance

I am fully insured and DBS checked. I also hold specialist qualifications in canine body language, reactivity and separation anxiety.

Alongside my professional knowledge, I bring a supportive and down-to-earth approach. My sessions are designed to leave you with useful skills, clear next steps and the confidence to continue helping your dog between appointments.
